Venue and Tickets
The venue will either be in Sydney CBD or at UNSW, depending on ticket demand.
In true FI-fashion, we are giving those who can commit in advance an early-bird discount! This will help us select a venue that can fit everyone who wants to attend (hopefully!).
Early bird tickets are $20 each and limited to 100. General admission tickets will be $25 each and go on sale after we have confirmed a venue. Remember, $5 off a $25 ticket is a 20% post-tax guaranteed return...
Playing with FIRE is screening in Sydney on the 14th of August. The event will start at 6 pm and the official activities will finish at 9 pm.
There will be lots of knowledge in the audience, so make sure to bring your best FI questions along!
Having already seen the film (Pearler supported the Kickstarter), we are particularly excited by the film's potential to make FI more mainstream. We think it does a great job of explaining FI to 'non-numbers people' so please feel free to bring along partners, friends, and family even if they are not very familiar with FIRE.

Pearler's portion of net proceeds for hosting this event is being donated to Kiva, an impact-investing non-profit that is focused on helping the 1.7b unbanked people in the world access financial services.
The rest of the net proceeds will be used to support and distribute the Playing with FIRE movie so more and more people can see it, and it can spread (like FIRE! Yes, we just went there...)
Also, a note on Humanitix - it's the world's first not-for-profit ticketing platform. 100% of its profits from bookings fees go to projects that address the education gaps affecting the most disadvantaged children here in Australia and overseas.
